If you have been struggling with ...

Belly fat that won't shift.

Energy that's not what it was.

Sugar cravings.

Rising blood sugar.

... then you are in the right place!

> Your body has changed and you feel like its time to do something about it.

> Perhaps your doctor raised a red flag, but the 20' appointment still left you wondering "Now What?"

> You are ready to tackle this but don't want to waste your time sorting fact from fiction on the internet or wondering if AI is making things up.

> You decided that it time to invest in your wellbeing and your health, and you'd like to do it properly: with data from your own body rather than generic advice or the latest trend online.

Let's do it!

How it works

Two weeks, one glucose sensor and three private sessions with me, Anna, a certified nutrition counsellor who has worn a CGM every day since 2018. We go at your pace, and you don't need to be good with technology: I'll show you everything.

A continuous glucose monitor (CGM) is a small round sensor worn on the back of your arm. It lasts two weeks and shows you, through an app on your phone, how your meals, movement, sleep and stress affect your blood sugar.
  1. 01

    CGM set up & context

    Session 1 · 90 min

Your sensor arrives before this first session, and we activate it together. I explain how to put it on and correctly set up the app on your phone.

While the sensor is "warming up", we talk about you: your days, your meals, what you've already tried and what matters to you.

If you have recent blood test results, you bring them along and we'll look at what they mean for your food choices.

I take the time to explain the reasons behind your cravings, post-meal energy dips and that stubborn belly fat (spoiler alert: it's not always because you eat too much!).

By the end of our session your CGM is active and you can see your first blood glucose readings.

Then, for the first week, you change nothing. You simply carry on with your normal life while noting your meals in the CGM's app. This will allow us to see how your body responds to your current lifestyle.

  2. 02

    First insights & targeted adjustments

    Session 2 · 60 min

A week later, we look at your CGM data. I explain what it reveals about how your body handles your food choices and why we see what we see. Together we choose a few small changes to test during your second week with the CGM.

  3. 03

    Review & forward strategy

    Session 3 · 60 min

At the end of the two weeks, we compare your second week with your first, so you can see the effect of your changes in your own data. We turn what worked into a way of eating that fits your life: at home, at work, at the restaurant, at family meals and when you travel. You leave with a personal plan and, where useful, a few points to discuss with your doctor at your next appointment.

It's important to book Session 1 and Session 2 about one week apart.

Can't fit that into your schedule? The programme can be spread over four weeks with two CGMs, for more data and more flexibility with timing (see Common questions).

Clear explanations, in plain words, of what happens in your body in response to how you eat and why.

  • Difference you can observe

You'll see in real time the improvement in your glucose curves as you implement the dietary changes - no need to wait until your next blood text.

Is CGM Coaching for you?

A good fit if:

  • Your doctor has mentioned your blood sugar is creeping up, and may have said the words "insulin resistance", "prediabetes" or "diabetes", and you'd like to work on your eating habits alongside any medical follow-up.
  • You have had trouble losing weight, especially around your midsection.
  • Diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and related conditions run in your family and you want to look after your long-term health.
  • You like data and understanding the "why", rather than being told what to do.
  • You are willing to make some time for your health, and to try gradual, realistic changes.
  • You prefer personal, one-to-one guidance to group programmes or apps with AI-generated advice.

Not the right fit if:

  • You're not yet ready to make gradual changes to any of your habits.
  • You're looking for a quick fix or a detox.
  • You want a fixed diet meal plan without understanding why.
  • You're living with an eating disorder or food-related anxiety.

Your Questions Answered (FAQs)

Do I need to buy the sensor myself?

Yes, if you are doing the programme fully online, and I will provide all the details on how to do that.

If you are doing your first coaching session in person, you can choose: either you order your sensor yourself and bring it to the first session, or I provide the sensor and you reimburse me for it. (I have no financial relationship with any CGM manufacturer and do not resell CGMs at a profit.)

Does it hurt?

Most people barely feel it. The applicator works in a fraction of a second, and what stays under your skin is a soft, 4 mm thread. Most clients say the same thing afterwards: "Was that it?"

I'm not very good with technology. Can I still do it?

Yes. You need a smartphone to read the sensor through its app. I'll help you get it set up during our first session. After that, you simply open the app to see your blood sugar and take notes of what you eat. I will be monitoring your blood sugar data remotely and we will be accessing your full reports via [TO PROVIDE: name of the platform/app].

Is this a weight-loss programme?

Weight loss is never the primary goal. The aim is to learn how to eat for steadier blood sugar and long-term health, in a way that suits your metabolism. That said, people usually find their weight changes as their habits change. By balancing blood glucose, the body finally becomes able to tap into its fat stores, so steady weight loss becomes possible. I do not promise, nor recommend, rapid weight loss.

I'm already taking other medication. Is this compatible?

Yes. CGM coaching works alongside your medical care and never replaces it. Many clients already follow a treatment for diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure or something else. It is important to keep your doctor informed as your eating habits change, so they can follow up as they see fit, especially if you take a medication for diabetes or blood pressure. Never change or stop a medical treatment without your doctor's advice.

I take, or am considering, a weight-loss medication (GLP-1). Will this help?

CGM coaching helps you understand your body and build eating habits that support you over the long term. Good eating habits are particularly important when taking weight-loss medications, to maximise your chances of success.

I can explain how these medications work and their pros and cons based on the latest medical literature. This information will enable you to ask your doctor relevant questions and make an informed decision. I will never tell you to take or not take a GLP-1 medication. Any decision to start, continue or stop a medication belongs to you and your doctor.

Can I do the programme together with my partner, a family member or friends? How would that work?

Yes. Many families share their meals, so doing it together often makes changes easier. Doing it with a group of friends gives you the dynamic of a supportive group. You all start your sensors at the same time and log your food choices. We then go through your data together, and you can learn from each other's experiences as well as from your own. Group sessions may take longer than individual sessions: up to 2 hours for the first session and up to 90 minutes for sessions 2 and 3.

Why do the first two sessions need to be a week apart? What if I can't do that?

We want sessions 1 and 2 to be about one week apart, so that we have the first week of your sensor to observe your current habits and the second week to see the effects of the changes you make.

If you think this time frame would be difficult, we can spread the programme over four weeks and use two sensors. With the first sensor, we observe two weeks of your usual eating, then meet once it has finished, on any day that is convenient for you. You put on the second sensor when you're ready to try the changes we agreed, and we meet for our final session once it has finished. We have double the data and more flexibility.

If you are in Belgium and can come to at least one in-person session, for a limited time your second sensor will be free of charge.

The cost of the programme is slightly higher because we will have more data to review, and sessions 2 and 3 may take up to 90 minutes.

Can I do the programme fully online, or from outside Belgium?

Yes, all three sessions can take place online. In that case you will have to order the sensor yourself. I will provide information on how to do that. Depending on your country of residence, you may be able to obtain your first sensor for free.

How is this different from other nutrition or health coaching programmes?

CGM Coaching relies on real-time data from your own body to come up with a way of eating that is based on what your body can handle at this time in your life. There is no generic advice, no cookie-cutter diet plan, no long list of supplements to take.

If, like most of my clients, you value a science-backed approach to nutrition, I am proud to say that one of my "superpowers" is making complex science easy to understand and actionable for you. My clients often go away with a personalised research recap on a topic of particular concern to them, and practical takeaways they can start applying immediately.

That said, the advice you receive is not only grounded in data and backed by science. I also speak from experience. Since 2018 I have lived with type 1 diabetes, worn a CGM and balanced my blood glucose every single day, 24/7. That level of detail and nuance is simply not available in any textbook. I bring this practical, lived knowledge of the science (and art!) of blood glucose balance and apply it to your data, so that you walk away with insights that are truly unique.

What if I have other health issues?

Any advice you receive from me will always take your wider context into account. This is why I will ask you to send me your recent blood tests and a list of all the medications and supplements you take ahead of our first session.

I take great care in studying these before we meet, and I will raise anything I believe is relevant to our work together on the nutrition side.

If you have a particular health concern alongside blood sugar, I help you make sense of the available information and give it to you in an easily digestible form, so that you can make informed choices together with your doctor. I will never tell you to stop or change a medication. If needed, I may suggest a list of questions you can take with you to your next doctor's appointment.

Is it reimbursed?

No. Consultations are not reimbursed by Belgian health insurance (mutuelles).
