What can balancing your blood sugar help you achieve?
Prevention or Reversal of Chronic Diseases: Consistently high blood sugar is not something you feel. Yet over time, it can lead to insulin resistance and even to type 2 diabetes. By monitoring your blood sugar with the help of a CGM you can diagnose insulin resistance earlier than any conventional lab tests would and stop it in its tracks before it progresses.

FAQ
1. Do I need a CGM before starting the program?
Yes, you will need to have a Continuous Glucose Monitor ready to be activated on the day of your first session.
If you live in Europe you can order either Abbott's Freestyle Libre 2 or Sibionics. Gradually more companies are coming on the market but these two are the ones that have been around the longest.
I have no affiliation with either of these companies - if you choose to do the program in-person I can order you cgm for you at no extra cost and help you set it up during your first session.
2. Do I need to be a tech genius to use a CGM? (The thought of all this technology phases me)
Absolutely no tech skills required! All you need is a smartphone that is able to download the CGM app (either Freestyle LibreLink or Sibionics).
If you need help selecting, ordering or setting up a CGM, I can provide recommendations and guidance. Just book a free "CGM support" call ahead of your first session.
3. In what languages is the program available?
Your nutrition counsellor can work with you in English, French, Greek or Russian.
4. What if I have dietary restrictions/like to follow a particular diet?
The personalised nutrition advice will take into account any dietary restrictions or preferences you have, ensuring the recommendations are suitable for you.
We always start with where you are at and see what we can optimise. This is about gradual, doable and realistic habit change based on what your body's metabolism can handle.
5. Who is this program Not recommended for?
If you are struggling (or have struggled) with an eating disorder (e.g. anorexia, bulimia or other food relaxed anxiety disorder) wearing a CGM is not recommended.
6. What does the program cost?
The cost of the two week program is €200. It includes three 1 : 1 consultations, plus support via Whatsapp if you have specific questions during the two weeks. Plus free support if you require help ordering or setting up your CGM.
You can pay by bank transfer ahead of the first session. You will receive payment instructions when booking your first session.

Hi, I'm Anna. A certified nutrition counsellor specialising in blood sugar management.
I have been wearing a CGM since 2018 when I found out that I had Type 1 Diabetes.
The first time I put one on my mind was blown. It was literally as if someone just turned the light 💡 on me after years of sitting in complete darkness.
Before my nutrition training and my Type 1 diabetes diagnosis, I only had a vague understanding of blood sugar management. For many years after my three pregnancies, I was (wrongly) diagnosed as having Type 2 diabetes, so I was always careful about what I ate, trying to eat "healthy" and thought I was doing fairly well by following my dietician's advice.
I had no idea that my "healthy" bowl of oatmeal for breakfast or my "healthy" sushi dinner were sending my blood sugar levels through the roof!
When I put on a CGM I finally "saw the light". (In fact, it quite literally saved my life!) There was no more confusion about what is "healthy". Or how much of my favourite dessert or starchy food was too much. Eating healthy ( - properly healthy this time!), became sooo much easier and less stressful.
At the time, I clearly remember thinking "I wish everyone could have one of these!" . I wished I could give one to my friends and family members who were trying diet after diet in an attempt to lose weight only to fail or yo yo back shortly thereafter.
Unfortunately, back then this technology was only available to those who were injecting insulin to control their diabetes.
Fast forward to today where, having qualified as a nutrition counsellor. I manage my blood sugar in real time - 24/7 and, despite my body making no insulin, I am able to keep it within a non-diabetic range by using nutrition as my primary tool. I have unique insights into blood sugar management that I can pass on to you which go far beyond those obtained from a textbook.

Expertise in this area is not yet widespread among nutrition professionals. A handful of apps exist which can link to your CGM data and provide recommendations generated by AI.
